About the studio
We build apps for the places that shape us.
sacroTerrains is the app studio of geoAscent llc. Our work sits where geography, story and community meet: tools that help people travel land with attention, and leave something meaningful behind.
Why sacroTerrains
The name means sacred terrains. We believe mountains, rivers and the roads between them carry meaning, and that the people who move through them are the best authors of that meaning. Our apps give those travelers a place to gather what they find.
Each app has its own home on a subdomain of geoAscent.net, so it can grow at its own pace while sharing the same values and the same care.
Part of geoAscent llc
geoAscent llc is the parent company. sacroTerrains is one of its trade names, created specifically for app builds. geoAscent llc operates under another trade name for a separate area of focus.

Attention to place
We design for real ranges, roads and towns, not generic maps.
Shared authorship
Communities write the story; the app holds it together.
Belonging, structurally
Commitments to our neighbors are built into how we run the business.
Independent and owned
We build and keep our own products, so we can care for them over the long run.
